Fulenwider telephone services (and AT&T internet locations)
are managed by OneSource Communications.

OneSource acts as a middle-man. Their job is to help us find/keep the lowest cost service, ensure we don't get hit with unexpected fees, critique questionable invoices/services, and most importantly, to provide technical assistance for our restaurants.

Internet Security Providers

 Yum requires internet security for our internet connections when using TACO/Xpient/Merit POS. This is provided via the Cisco 891 firewall/router that is connected between your internet modem and the POS network.

There are 2 types of service offered.
  1. BOC (Broadband of Choice) is where we provide our own internet and the security provider maintains only the Cisco Firewall.
  2. Fully Managed is where both the internet service and the firewall is provided by the security provider. This is the preferred option as it allows only one company to call for all issues.

There are 3 approved providers for internet security. ISS, Hughes, and MegaPath. ISS has been dropped but we must fulfill our contract terms before switching. These service providers are listed below

 

ISS - 800-554-9875

We currently use ISS in all Fulenwider Taco Bells and Boone KFC. Eden and Boone are fully-managed.

If you are in one of these locations and have problems with your internet service, first, ensure the internet functions on the Fulenwider PC. If so, then contact ISS for support. You may also need to contact OneSource if they determine the internet service is failing.
 

Hughes - 800-HELP-KFC

Hughes service is currently used in all Fulenwider KFC locations except Boone. All AT&T locations are BOC. The remaining are fully-managed.

If you are in an AT&T location and have problems with your internet service, first, ensure the internet functions on the Fulenwider PC. If so, then contact Hughes for support. You may also need to contact OneSource if they determine the internet service is failing.

If you are in a non-AT&T location, contact the KFC Help Desk for any internet issues. The Help Desk will conference in Hughes if necessary.
 

MegaPath - 800-HELP-KFC

MegaPath was brought in by corp this year to replace ISS. They will be our future provider as their support has been better than Hughes and ISS. They function mostly like Hughes and you would contact the Help Desk for initial support.

They are currently installed in a few of the Charlotte KFC's and implementation is pending in some Taco Bells in Charlotte.
