Headsets

In general, there are 4 primary headset and timer support companies HME, CSI, QSR Tech and Summit
If you have any problems with these providers, please contact the IT Dept

All Taco Bells should use CSI for initial troubleshooting.
We have maintenance agreements with CSI, so they will be willing to help and send tech if necessary, often at no charge.

to troubleshoot

  1. Tech will attempt to diagnose and fix problem via the phone.
    If problem cannot be fixed remotely, technician will ship replacement equipment, if applicable.
     

  2. Equipment is shipped Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, for next day delivery for wireless base stations, battery chargers, AC adapters, and speaker/mics; all other equipment is shipped for two day delivery.
    Calls for exchanges placed after 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time are not guaranteed to ship same day.
     

  3. If on-site support is required, a technician will be dispatched by CSI of the Southeast.
     

  4. Once equipment is received, the store will remove the replacement equipment and place defective equipment in the same box. Attach the UPS Label provided, and give to UPS driver or drop off at any UPS store. Please notify all employees of the impending return of UPS, and which box is to be picked up. All equipment must be returned to  CSI of the Southeast within 30 days of the exchange.

FOR KFC's, the Timers are from Summit. Headsets may be other vendors, but initiate support via Summit as Headset detection runs through the Summit Timer.

If the Timer is functioning properly and not the cause of the issue,
then contact CSI (above) for non-Florida locations.

For Florida Locations, please contact QSR Tech.

Summit is a KFC partner and the recommended timer provider. They can troubleshoot loops failures remotely which is a cost and time saver. Be sure to initiate any headset or timer issues through Summit support

If the timer is functioning properly and you continue to experience headset issues after troubleshooting with Summit, then contact CSI

QSR Tech is a new company, but was started by Tisha Huntsman from our long-time partner in Florida - B Kirby Communications. Tisha brought over our preferred tech, Juan Rosello. We chose to follow Juan and Tisha and now use QSR Tech exclusively for timer and general technology support.

HME is the headset manufacturer. HME will support if necessary, but it may be a higher cost.
Only use HME if CSI is unable to assist.
